Book Review: Dead Reckoning by Mercedes Lackey & Rosemary Edghill

A teenage girl masquerading as a boy is interrupted in her quest to find her missing borther in 1860’s Texas by a hoard of zombies. The concept was great! Zombie novels have been done so many times, but the setting really drew me to this one. However, the book is written from the perspective of three different characters, but their voices are too similar to make this style worth it. In addition to the voicing, I had an issue with plot movement (or lack thereof). The book just seemed to drag and very little was revealed. At least some character development could have been done during the huge lulls, but that didn’t even happen. I’d rate it 2 stars.
